- Windows Vista©/7 (latest patches), Windows XP (SP3 and latest patches), Windows Server© 2003 (SP1 and latest patches), or Windows Server© 2008© all including Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1.
- 1 GB free hard disk space for installation.
- 1 GB (2GB) of available RAM.
- TCP/IP protocol running.
Mac OS
- Mac OS X version 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7 (latest patches recommended) or
Mac OS X Server 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7 (latest patches recommended) - 1 GB free hard disk space for installation.
- 1 GB (2GB) of available RAM
- TCP/IP protocol running.
Linux
- Kernel version 2.6.27.7 or higher, libstdc++ 6 (libstdc++.so.6), and libldap 2.4 (for LDAP authenticator).
- Tested by Canto on: openSUSE 11.1
- Not supported: Red Hat Linux 8.x; SuSE Linux 8.x and lower.

- 500 MB free hard disk space for installation.

- TCP/IP network access.
- QuickTime 7 (or later), standard installation, required for certain features.
